Myra Ann Elizabeth Uber is survivor of violent crime, abandonment, advocate, activist, nutritionist, real estate professional, and CEO of The Marketing Goddess, LLC.

After becoming the obsession of a cyberstalker, Myra didn't know where to turn, but met other stalking advocates who helped her through her tragedy. 

She began speaking out on Clubhouse and at Women's Abuse Awareness Summits sharing her story so that others who are stalked and living in fear can get the necessary resources and release their trapped trauma.

There are 7.4 million people being stalked in the United States currently.* 

Cyberstalking is a crime in all 50 states but every states laws are different. How each state recognizes cyberstalking as a crime, "IF" they recognize it as a crime, needs to be redefined. 

Myra actively works to spread the word about cyberstalking, that will instigate necessary and required changes in legislation. 

Myra continues to learn from the best, Lenora Claire, who was named "The Erin Brockovich of Stalking" by Vice Magazine. Lenora's story went viral after her legislative proposals with Congressman Schiff, and she began working with victims who needed help navigating the complex worlds of law enforcement and the judicial system. Lenora has helped countless people obtain restraining orders, served as a human shield in court, and lectured on the subject of risk minimization at schools and on television and podcasts.

After Lenora's case was featured on 48 Hours, Dr. Oz, Crime Watch Daily, CBS News and other media outlets, she began to realize that, despite the attention, it was receiving and a mountain of credible threats, law enforcement was still unable to provide the rapid intervention required. It was then that Lenora took measures to capture her stalker herself, leading to his successful conviction in 2018.

As the public face of stalking in America, Lenora began helping other victims, such as Myra, of related crimes including sexual assault, domestic violence, revenge porn, and cyber harassment.

Peggy Klinke was a beautiful and vibrant woman whose life was cut short when she was stalked and murdered by a former partner. 

Peggy told him she wanted no contact. She went to the police. She filed a restraining order. She kept documentation. She did everything right.

After being named one of L.A. Weekly's People of the Year for her work in the Los Angeles art scene, Claire met a man at a 2011 gallery opening who would change the course of her life, in a horrifying way. 

Wearing a spacesuit, Justin Massler — also known as "Cloud Starchaser" -- approached Claire and struck up a conversation about her perceived resemblance to Jessica Rabbit. "He seemed intelligent, but strange," Claire tells PEOPLE. "He looked right at me, and I'll never forget it -- it's like the spirals in his eyes started, and he said, 'I'm going to stalk you.'"

Claire didn't know about Massler's struggle with mental illness (he has schizophrenia, his lawyer later said) or his long prior history of stalking celebrities.

Massler began sending Claire "long, sycophantic, rambling letters" that escalated into graphic rape and death threats that were "very, very descriptive, very horrifying," she recalls. Over the course of seven years and thousands of missives, Massler also threatened to murder Claire's boss, kidnap Claire, abduct her dog and more.
Annually, about 7.5 million Americans are victims of stalking, according to the National Center For Victims of Crime. But when Claire tried to obtain a restraining order against Massler, her early attempts were unsuccessful. So, determined to fight Massler on her own, Claire worked with mentors like Congressman Adam Schiff and criminal prosecutor Rhonda Saunders (who, in the 1990s, helped establish America's first anti-stalking laws). She also began sharing her story publicly on shows like Crime Watch Daily, The Dr. Oz Show and 48 Hours.

Massler was arrested in 2017 and convicted of felony stalking against Claire in 2018. He was sentenced to four years — the maximum penalty for felony stalking in California.

But because of California's Proposition 57 -- a bill intended to give nonviolent offenders a chance at early parole -- Massler was released in December 2019, after serving two years.

What is Stalking?
What is Stalking?
Stalking is a pattern of repeated and unwanted attention, harassment, contact, or any other course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to feel fear,” according to the Department of Justice. Similar to crimes of sexual violence, stalking is about power and control.

Stalking laws and definitions differ from state to state. You can read more about your state’s laws by visiting the Stalking Resource Center.
Stalking behavior can take many forms including:
  • Making threats against someone, or that person's family or friends
  • ​Non-consensual communication, such as repeated phone calls, emails, text messages, and unwanted gifts
  • Repeated physical or visual closeness, like waiting for an someone to arrive at certain locations, following someone, or watching someone from a distance
  • Any other behavior used to contact, harass, track, or threaten someone
What is “The Use of Technology to Stalk”?
One of the ways perpetrators stalk victims is through the use of technology. You may have heard the term cyberstalking to refer to these types of interactions. “Use of technology to stalk” is a broad term that is used to cover all forms stalking that rely on technology.
Some uses of technology to stalk include:
  • Persistently sending unwanted communication through the internet, such as spamming someone’s email inbox or social media platform
  • ​Posting threatening or personal information about someone on public internet forums
  • ​Video-voyeurism, or installing video cameras that give the stalker access to someone’s personal life
  • Using GPS or other software tracking systems to monitor someone without their knowledge or consent
  • Using someone’s computer and/or spyware to track their computer activity

Let's Stand Up To Cancer...
Together! 
As a way to honor my mom, I’ve become an advocate for “Stand Up to Cancer,” which helps with cancer research so others don’t have to suffer like she did. Health and wellness, a focus on nutrition, and living by the “5 Essentials” have also become key in my life. 

Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014. No one in our family had been diagnosed with cancer prior so this was a surprise. As we went to appointments and radiation we learned that the cancer was most likely formed from drinking water from water bottles that had heated up after being left in the car and the plastic bottle secreted cancerous toxins.

Her 2nd primary cancer was lung cancer. She had smoked since she was 16 so while she had quit smoking many years earlier, it was too little too late, but this wasn't unexpected. 

We went to weeks and months of radiation and chemotherapy. None of it helped. She got worse with each visit. She begged me to take a short term contract during which time she was informed her cancer was stable and there were no changes. I've since learned there should have been "changes" during that time. 

It was also during his time that she complained of headaches. She was advised they would be monitored. Several weeks later we were advised the cancer had metastasized to her brain. I lost her less than a month later.

I learned everything I could about nutrition, supplements, and exercise. I promote and personally continue the "5 Essentials" and get weekly spinal alignments.

Having the right nutrition and supplements are essential to health. Non-GMO spinach, kale, and other super plants like moringa, broccoli, turmeric, chlorella, and spirulina assist in getting the right veggies and essential nutrients. Having a daily boost of these nutrients is a source of iron which is important for making red blood cells which carry oxygen around the body.
